Voodoo Ragdoll

A Halloween decoration that I made last year. It's made out of an old t-shirt, burlap, a paper mache Christmas ornament and some wire. It also has an LED in the head so that light comes out of his mouth when I turn it on.

I made a bunch of ragdolls for Halloween and had them hanging all of the porch. I put a bit more love into this one though.

Life List 3

Catching up on my life list a bit.

The Andean Cock-of-the-Rock is one of my favorite species. They sound like a goofy dinosaur.

The Punisher

I like when Frank barks at people. It's funny.

I haven't finished season 2 yet. So no spoilers. Although - ultimately Netflix has already spoiled it all.

Life List 2

Still catching up on posting my Life List paintings. This is a series of paintings that I'm doing of the bird species on my Life List.

I feel like I started to figure out my style part way through this series of four. The tomtit and mew gull were both a learning experience.

Life List 1

About a year ago I started a new long-term project; I'm painting small (approx 4" X 4") acrylic illustrations of species from my birding Life List. I've been posting them on my Instagram account (chuckletree) as I finish the paintings, but haven't been keeping up as well on DeviantArt. I aim to fix that.

Looking back at this first round, I've learned a lot this year.

Currently my Life List stands at 471. This project may take a while. At this rate it will take me 15 years to complete - assuming I don't see any new species.

Any other birders in the joint, or am I officially too old for DeviantArt?
